After years of planning, always trying to go the free host and giving up route, my site is finally up and running. I hope to make it a nice resource for designers. I have a couple original desktops there and I'm planning to have some "stock" photos for download soon. Some photoshop brushes and maybe some tutorials along the way.
I didn't want this to become one of those "news blurb blogs" that you see everywhere. So hopefully you enjoy it, bookmark it, stick it in your rss reader.

As the site is updated I might announce it here in this thread.
Enjoy

Hey all,
Updated the site with a couple more desktops and my first set of photoshop burshes. I'm planning on making more bush sets, so I would greatly appreciate any feedback you could give on them.
Thanks
Ernie

It's ok. Not sure it is appealing to your audience though. I found it hard to navigate ot find something I needed.

Kudos for your initiative. That said I wonder how many designers download desktops vs. create their own.

Thanks for the feedback.
I'm still trying to iron out what the main focus of the content is going to be. I'm thinking right now it will be my original desktops, original photoshop/design resources, some icons soon, and some minimal blog/commentary.
I'll be on vacation for a week so I hope to do some thinking/designing about the site. Navagation and stuff.
I've updated it with another photoshop brush set. Fire inspired.
Thanks
Ernie

Actually... As a very bussy freelance designer, I almost never have time to make my own desktops. I am very glad that there are people out there who have the time / tallent to make great desktops, and then have the generosity to release them for free!
On another note... Self promotion is NEVER a shameless act. No matter what they say. It may feel a little strange promoting to other designers, but even then... I can't tell you how many times I have been contracted by other designers.

It's alright. A little bland, though.
