Font book says the font is fine... it prints fine, I can generate PDFs that seem fine... there doesn't seem to be any issues...

BUT... I get a quark error message saying they may be corrupted.

OS 10.4.2
System: iBook 12" 1.33
Quark 6.5
Font in Question: Optima

Should I be worried? What modern font programs are the rest of you using in a non-network environment (single user, single designer).

What kind of font is Optima? Postscript? TrueType? otf, dfont? Try replacing with a different font to see if you get the same error message. Try replacing with a fresh version of Optima as well. Also, try tossing out the Quark Preferences ( User>Library>Preferences>Quark>QuarkXpress 6.0>Xpress Prefernces.prf ). That will cause the font database to rebuild.

Dont be worried. This is just (yet another) bug in XPress 6.

Download the Badia FontAlertSilencer XTension (free) - that will shut it the hell up.

It's the only bug that has been annoying me so far. 6.5 seems like they are back to the 4.1 stability level.
