I've found this rather useful, so I figured I'd share.

I've built an imitation Safari browser chrome in Illustrator as vector art. Because I build most of my mockups for clients in Illustrator, this allows me a non-resolution dependant way of mocking up screen captures.

I can shrink and enlarge things and not need too worry about jaggies.

This thing is free, as I don't really know how many people would use something similar.

VERY COOL!

Sometimes people ask me for screen shots... but want to print them at 11 x 17... where they end up looking like... well, you know.

You are welcome, guys.

Assuming people like it, I'm going to work on improvements. Things like the font size buttons/home button/autofill button. Perhaps tabs (although I don't have any use for them in screen captures.)

I'm also wanting to get a better look on the default favicon and the close/max/min buttons. And the scroll thumb. They aren't quite right yet.

But creating these things to be as flexible as possible, allowing them to be made longer/shorter/bigger/smaller it is difficult to get it exact.

BTW: Something I should add to the post on my site that I've forgotten about. There is quite a bit of use of transparency in this project. If you are printing on a color proofer or inkjet, no problem. But if you are taking it to press, be aware of this!
