Anyone know of a plugin (or app) for batching postscript files from ID files? In other words, I have a ton of ID files and need to make a .ps file from each one, a pligin or app that could take all of the ID files and output a .ps file from each one would be great.

Thanks....

if on tiger you could use automator to do this, or an applescript indesign has scripting built into it, so its an easy fix

Doesn't indesign have automation/droplet functions?

http://www.scriptbuilders.net/

Do some searches for 'ps' and 'folder action' and 'print preset'. I'd say your best bet is to make a print preset that outputs to .ps. Then make a folder action that launches whatever InDesign docs that are dropped on it and prints them using the preset you made. It will require you getting your hands a little dirty but there are already scripts on that site that should get you mostly there.

Edited for clarity

No. And since it appears by your sig that you're not using Tiger, you obviously won't be able to use Automator, which will do exactly what you need with very little headache.

That sig info is for my home machine. I am using Tiger at work so I do have Automator. Could you please give an example of how to do it with Automator? I tried, but can't seem to get it to work. Thanks.
