Something I got into a while ago just as something to keep me busy in spare time and thought I would introduce this to you all. Some of you may have already seen this but if you like your cars and use photoshop then take a look.

The site that started it all off:

Music on your webpage?

really. effing. bad. idea.

Seriously, I closed it out before I even read a word on it. The only time I ever put up with music on webpages is on MySpace, where I expect it and it's common practice. And then its 10x worse if I happen to be listening to my own music, and yours is dissinent with it. Granted, I went back and revisited the site (with the audio muted) for sake of politeness to you and courtesy in this thread. But seriously, music on webpages is very rude and inconsiderate, IMO.

Getting back... its a cool concept, but its not terribly impressive. I would be impressed if they were to have cars built digitally from the ground up in 3D, dropped in a virtual set, and rendered. But modding in Photoshop seems quite pointless, if you ask me. I mean, you can't animate it, you can't shoot it in different environments in different angles. However, I do recognize the skill necessary to do some of those mods. I suppose I shouldn't say that its not very impressive, like I said, the Photoshop skill is pretty good on some of them. But it seems kind of like wasted effort to me.

but that may be just me, so please dont take any of this as an insult.

loki74 soz about the music and I get where your comming from. Anyways its not about car design although that is an aspect of it. Generally its taking an ordinary car and virtually tuning it. If you dont have a great love or passion for cars then yes its a complete waste of time but I do. Here are some fine examples far beyond my photoshop abilities.

Yeah.. that restoration thing is pretty damn impressive. Crap. ...funny thing is, from my point of view as a 3D artist, going the other way (from shiny to rusty) is equally impressive!

I suppose it is just that I am not terribly passionate about cars... and then the problem for me would be, after I'd finished modding in photoshop, I'd be like, "crap that looks too cool. I must have it in real life!!" and Id run myself broke. But if youre passionate about cars and more financially responsible than I... this IS pretty cool.

Pretty cool stuff...I would call it art and not modding.

The only thing I would really critique on your designs, is to try and work on the surface texture. Some of your additions don't look authentic because the sheen on the surface doesn't match to what a "real life" picture would look like. But some like the Bently Arnage or Azure or whatever it was look good...nice shine and flowing reflections. Not a lot of stuff on cars have a matte finish
