No matter how many time I try hooking it up, on my camcorder it says "DV In" however the iMovie screen keeps saying "No Camera Attached" and it's really upsetting because I like editing and I have a lot of projects to take care of. Please! Anyone! let me know what's going on. It's not the wire. and I reset my camcorder 100000000 times!!!!!! Still not working! PLEASE help!

Uh-huh. Well with all the CAPS and exclaimation marks!!!!!! and the and about 1000000 hyperboles you're acting like a 10-year-old girl.

Have you even checked to see if your camera is supported by iMovie?

Sorry for hijacking your thread but I have a question too. I made a widescreen iMovie but when I export it (share) the video comes squished and is no longer widescreen. How can I fix this?

Open the Audio MIDI Setup application (Utilities folder).
Set the audio output format to 44100Hz and try the file again.
The camera will now be recognized if it is actually compatible.

My guess would be that you've probably set your camera in record mode instead of play(VCR), that would explain why the camera says "DV in".
