Hey guys,
I updated my site. Totally trashed the old one and remade everything from scratch. Still has a couple minor problems here and there and some of the copy will be edited over the next couple weeks.
At any rate you can check it out here:

Hope you like it!

I like it very much. You cram a lot of stuff into a small space while still maintaining easy navigation, and it loads really fast. (at least with cable modem). Nice job.
And your designs are cool too.

I'm not a fan of the typeface you're using on the navigation, its just kind of... ugly imo. (for lack of a better criticism) The "//work" "//recent work" etc images need some serious kerning help. Also, the whole "//" thing is kind of a played out aesthetic. The work is good, but I think you're showing way too much of it.

This is obviuosly just personal taste, but I like it. I think it works well.
The work is good, but I think you're showing way too much of it.
Here I really disagree! I think it’s great to finally see a design site that shows more than just two or three examples of previous work. As far as I’m concerned, the more comprehensive a portfolio is, the better. I know some disagree, but I’ve always been of the opinion that a designer’s website is what will either make or break him, and having only a few samples of what you’ve done would definitely lean toward break rather than make in my book.

As a Designer I have to show ALL my work. If I show 2 or 3 examples I don't get much work.
Actually I am not even showing the 200+ magazine ads of various sizes I did on the site.

I like it, seems very clean and uncluttered--the last version I saw of your site, don't know how long ago, was very dense. the portfolio treatment--also very good, straightforward.
good stuff. Like your logo.

I like it. I like the fly on the screen. Very simple, very clean, very easy to navigate!
Keep up the great work!
Peace,
Nate

Yeah, I'm not advocating cutting down his work to like 5 pieces or anything, but there are like 50 site designs in his portfolio and only about 10 of them are portfolio worthy, the rest bring down the overall quality. Not all of a designers work is going to be portfolio worthy, put in your best work, not all your work. Being too liberal with what you put in your book risks bringing down the quality of your book. Which is what I think is happening here.

It looks good — not nearly as frenetic as your previous site design. One problem... I can't view your Print section. Clicking any of the links under "Print" on your portfolio page redirects me to the home page. Am I the only one getting this?

That's odd. on what page do you click the print section?

It didn't matter which link I clicked, but the problem seems to have gone away. It must have been the bowser acting up.

To be fair it happened from me to time to time but looking at the code there was nothing wrong. I think the file on the FTP got corrupt as the date changed. Re-uploaded it and it seems fine now.
