Hey, all!
I'm in a semi-serious band and we're currently working on our second album. In terms of the availability of intruments and the ease of writing MIDI tracks, the ease of recording tracks, and the selection of effects, GarageBand offers everything we need in a totally satisfactory way (while also not costing $1000). Thing is, there's this silly limit of two effects per track, when quite often it would be very nice to be able to have more. I've considered switching to other apps -- tried out a friend's copy of Logic Express, but we all find it really unfriendly and difficult to use while not offering that many more features that we'd actually use. We're all Mac people and are very comfortable with the whole GarageBand interface (our first album is actually on iTunes, totally done with GarageBand, http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/M...istId=80899110 -- gotta love this modern age we live in, haha!).

Anyway, here's my question: is there something out there along the lines of an Audio Unit that, when loaded, just lets me load additional Audio Units into it? That way we could get around the downright silly 2 effect limit without having to learn all new software and start over on all the tracks already in progress.

I'll take other suggestions, too...!

Thanks!
Be happy.
