I've tried many. The built in extract command, extensis mask pro, corel knockout, and recent found out about Fluid Mask. And out of all of them, Fluid Mask Pro is extremely powerful and does masking very very well. I was wondering what you other masking freaks out there think on what the best app/plugin to do this is?

I use the pen tool to draw my own path. It's the only way to something exactly the way I want.

How about all of them? Really there are different techniques for good masks. The pen tool is the most precise while learn to use the channels and color selections can be time savers along with painting a mask too.

Select by Color range... can often get you pretty close.
