I am running DP5.1 on a G5 dual 2.5 with 4.5 gigs of ram.
I bought this software because I was told it was GREAT for film
scoring. I've been using Logic Pro to create my music scores and and
surround mixes. I use an Axium 25 usb midi controller and a M-Audio
Firewire 410 interface for all of my speakers out (5.1). But I keep running
into a problem... Every time I tell DP5.1 to use the Firewire 410 as the
output... DP5.1 closes down. I ran all update for all the hardware... O Yea,
it only happens when I use X-Treme FX for my midi sampler. Now I know that
X-Treme FX is made to work with DP5.1 so, does anyone know why this is
happening.
I've contacted Ultimate Sound Bank ( X-Treme FX ) for tech support and they
say that everything is installed right and that it is a problem with DP5.1.
This does not happen when I use Logic Pro so, could they be right? I
uninstalled and reinstalled both software now twice and I am now beyond
frustrated. Can someone please help me.
Thanks Brian

Have you contacted MotU?

Considering that DP 5.1 only came out a couple days ago, contacting MOTU is the obvious course of action. Also consider checking out the BigBlueLounge (formerly OSX Audio) and Unicornation forums.
