Hey

I am litterally on the verge of buying a wacom a5 tablet as it is great for my needs. My one question is what is the difference between the educational wacom and the normal wacom?

hope someone can tell me

Educational? My guess it's the same product at a discounted price.

The Intuos has a higher rez and higher level of pressure 1024 vs. 512. You also get tilting of the brush and rotation of the brush with Intuos. Plus you can program buttons on the side of the Intuos.

Can you give us a link or the model #?

Usually education products are the same as regular retail products just at a discounted price. Like the Wacoms at academicsuperstore.com same thing, education price breaks.

Additionally, once you get used to a Wacom tablet *BAM* you've tasted the kool-aid and will never go back!

Really, I had one and sold it on e-bay. I never used it. Of course, it was a 4x5 tablet - too small to do anything useful with it.

I have a 9x12 Intuos3. They're definitely worth the price tag. And, like everyone's already said, the only difference between the educational and the regular is the price.
