I want to learn how to do stuff like this, I don't really know what this kind of art is called, vector art maybe, these are just some cool wallpapers that I like. I really like that kind of style and want to learn how to do it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

heres what ive done already by drawing something on paper then scanning it in and coloring it in photoshop:

Carefully study the color sense in the examples you like. The first thing to not is the flatness of color. In the pieces you did, you included some shading, especially on flesh tones. Think flat. And don't think so literal. A person needn't be flesh colored.

Perhaps the most important thing to note on the examples is the asymmetrical design and the large sense of space. They are, in fact, a good example of how one can balance objects with space.

And, yes, for the most part, the examples lived part of their lives in Illustrator.

Vector art is basically the technical term for using bezier curves (also called vectors) to make up an illustration. You want to do stuff like this in illustrator, but it takes lots and lots of practice.

dont bother with tutorials...just scan in an image you like and trace over it using the pen tool. no ammount of reading is gonna make you good with the pen tool other than using the tool itself.
