Hey everyone,
I'm looking for some sort of device with which I can convert Hi8 PAL to Hi8 NTSC. I need a transportable device or a software solution with which this can be done. Do you know any?
Help would be appreciated,

I ask, as Hi8 is an analogue tape based format (and a bit old) .... a software solution would mean capturing from your PAL Hi8 tapes to a digital format, then converting (I think Natress has a plug in for this see http://www.nattress.com/) and then re-outputting to a NTSC Hi8 tape. You would need 2 tape machines - one PAL Hi8 and one NTSC Hi8
Another option (still needs 2 tape machines) would be to rent /buy a transcoder box which you effectively wire up between the 2.
