I'm trying to finish up an old film that I edited last year, but now that I'm back at it, I can't seem to add any text to clips or to blank spaces. I already have text on some clips from when I was first editing it last year, but now I can only either update previously existing text, or merely preview text on all the other clips/blank spaces. Am I completely daft and am missing some method of adding text that I'm unaware of, or is this an bug of sorts on iMovie 5.0.2? While iDVD is not open, I had exported the iMovie project to iDVD the other evening to check out some things, but given that I can change everything else in the film, just not text, I don't think the iDVD export has anything to do with it.

* make sure, you have at last 10 - 15GB free, when working with iM/iDVD
* quit iM, trash iM related .plist(s) in user/library/preferences

Well, I have under 6GB left on an external hard drive, and, as I said, I can change everything else and even preview text, but for some reason I just can't add it to actual clips or blank space clips.

However, I did try deleting the iMovie .plists, but it unfourtunately did nothing to solve the problem.

*edit* Nevermind. Having not edited in iMovie for a while, I completely forgot about Apple's daft way of adding text to a clip.
