hi there, im after some help please

i need to buy an inkjet printer that will be mainly used for printing illustrated photoshop documents onto heat transfer paper (inkjet specific). I think i want an epson as thats what a friend of mine has used in the past for the same purpose with good results, but his is years oldHowever im having trouble finding mac compatible ones in my budget, which is admittedly low at £135/$250.

does anybody have any ideas please?

Epsons do a nice job for your needs. You may want to look into getting one that's refurbished, that can save you money.

First, you're only gonna get what you pay for, and you're only as good as your last job

If you buy a cheap printer for pro/semi-pro use, it's gonna spew out ameturish-home user-grade crap, and you will lose current and/or not gain any new clients. If you only do those prints for friends, family & yourself, then disregard the rest of this posting and get whatever printer you like

Get real and fork up the cash for a mid to upper line model, one that can do large prints (19 X 44+) reasonably fast and uses 6 or more archive-quality individual ink tanks..... ~$350-500 or so should do it.......

And yes, Epson's are really good in this range, as are HP's and Canon's. Do NOT buy an all-in-one or combo unit either, a single purpose machine is what you're after.

Go to the mfgr's websites, check the specs, get the model numbers, google them for tests & reviews, narrow your choices down some, check them out locally in person if at all possible, and finally, go online shopping for the best deal.
Signatures are ugly. Bitchy women are ugly......YOU do the math :)
