With the editing done on FCE ver 1, the final results look commercial quality like, but when exported to iDVD ver 6, the finsihed results looks very unprofessional. Resolution look bad. Any ideal what causes it? Quality has been set to better quality in iDVD preferences. COuld it be my DVD burner single sided? Or just that the Codec that comes with iDVD not good?

you have to export from FCE as "Quicktime/dv" to keep the quality of your project.. any other codec creates loss...

a project <60min gets encoded with ~8MB/sec... that is very little under the videoDVD standard's max...

Thanks, but that is what I did. Not sure if FCE ver 3.5 helps

I would imagine it's something to do with the mpeg-s encoding. Are there any options you get to choose? (Like vbr 2-pass)
