I decided I had to learn how to use my Canon 30D and Aperture better than what I had been doing. So I decided to post a photo per day on the web. If anyone's interested, you can check it out here. The photos are posted to my .Mac account directly from Aperture.
Please keep in mind I'm not a professional (far from it), and I don't have much time to shoot interesting photos each day - but I'm trying, and that's the important part. I expect my skills to improve, as well as my ability to compose and edit shots. Enjoy!

Good luck with the one-a-day thing. That will take some discipline. I think it's a great idea, and the first three look like you know what you're doing!

Well, I'm not so sure I know what I'm doing. But I guess the point is to learn. Thanks for the vote of confidence!
I have to admit, I'm already learning new things about the camera's capabilities, and I'm enjoying it.

looking good right from the start. i especially like the match shot.
i've been meaning to start a photo blog of sorts like yours, so maybe you've inspired me a bit here. the aperture web output is nice and clean. hadn't looked at it much before.
cuz hell, practice is good, right. i'm still discovering new tricks with my 350D and Aperture all the time. i figured out in the first year i owned this camera, i took an average of 20 photos a day. ranging from 0 to 600 a day (i averaged more than one a minute for that shoot). i look forward to increasing that number.

Good work! I just bought a Nikon D80 with a 18-200 Nikon Lense and Aperture. I'm looking foward for a year of learning and great pictures, I hope. I like the Idea of posting the photos.
Keep on shooting, a pic a day is a great challenge!

Wow, it's getting tough. Finding a new subject every day is difficult. Using my camera differently each time is also taxing. I tried long exposures of a clock tonight, none of which turned out. I tried freezing water drops from a faucet in mid air - also a failure. Some days I have taken 3-4 shots and picked one, and today I must have taken 30-40 shots to get one to turn out at least halfway decent. Man, I'm only 5 days into the year! Quick, someone give me 360 more ideas to shoot.

Mix it up -- do some action, some still life, some people, some pets...then change up the intent -- do some playing w scale, some with atmospheric perspective, some with motion...
Regardless, nice start.
