I'm not sure why but why when i zoom in at a certain percentage my fonts appear to be uneven, like the r would be lower than the rest of the characters and so on? But when i export it out as a pdf and view with Preview.app it looks fine and dandy, but when viewed with adobe acrobat it looks uneven?

Not sure if its a font problem or a problem with illustrator, anyone?

Hmmmm....that's odd. Try clearing the font caches with Font Finagler. ( Font Finagler )

Don't know if it's related or if it will help but it's worth a shot.

It could well be a font display problem (and not a problem with the font itself.) I've noticed that the Type-1 version of Helvetica that I use often displays oddly at different zoom levels. It certainly makes adjusting kerning and baseline height interesting.
