I’ve been asked to do a logo for a company called LD Travel. Comment on what is needed to be fixed or remade. Thank you.

There's a lot that goes into a logo design. Does the LD signify anything? Does the green or grey background color's relate to the target? The font of LD? If you look at it in core design terms, everything is supposed to be there for a reason.
Just my 2c.

Do you want to emphasize "LD" or "Travel" I'd suggest putting LD in the foreground and travel in the back. As it is now the palm tree is distracting in front of the D. I like the green though and the general style, I'll just assume that these are what the client wanted.

I like the green logo and I' suggest you reduce the palm frons on the bottom of the palm tree just a little. This would be to make sure at a quick glance from someone who does not know the name the the second letter is a D.

I don't know.
Palm tree, the "Travel" font, it all looks like it's been done before by a billion other travel companies.

I would explore further. The best logos come from an exhaustive search of the possibilities.
As for where you began...
This logo breaks a very important rule -- it will look like be unreadable when reduced in size. Shrink it down and you'll still read the LD but Travel will go bye-bye.
You should also consider how the logo will look in b&w.
Finally, the L in travel morphing into a palm tree is a stretch. You're more into the tree realm than communicating the L.
