Hi,
I'm just wondering if anyone here has bought fonts (or font packs) and where? For instance, I was at the Apple store the other day and saw Mac Fonts 2 (or something) and was thinking about buying it. The fonts Macs come with are pretty good, but I just was thinking of expanding and wanted to know what other designers did.
Thanks

Buying is good. What more do you want to know?

Uh…yeah. I don't just blindly buy fonts, though. If I don't have a font that fits what I want for a project, I'll look and find one that I like.

I wouldn't trust the quality of fonts on a big package cd (500 fonts for $25!) for important print work. Their kerning and letter pairs is likely to be poor, etc.

consider looking at the sticky titled 'Graphic Resources *read first*' in this very forum. there you'll find links for free fonts and other online resources for purchasing typefaces.
i echo andi*pandi's advice -- you get what you pay for with font packs.
