Hi All,

I'm using CS3 Bridge to work through some photos I shot yesterday (using a Nikon D2X and Fuji S5, all photos were shot in RAW format). Bridge is changing my photos, and I don't want it to (I very carefully set a custom white balance on both cameras, and I shoot manually to ensure consistency of exposures).

I've been through every menu and preference that I can find, but I can't seem to turn off what is some sort of automatic tone and white balance change. I've read and confirmed that ACR 4.0 (Adobe Camera Raw) can be set to no longer run it's "auto" routine, and this is the main reason why I upgraded to CS3. But...it seems that Bridge is doing something automatically, and I definitely don't want it to!

The only preference that I could find in Bridge that seems like it would cause this is actually in the Camera Raw prefs: "Apple Auto Tone adjustments", which I naturally have turned off.

Does anybody know what's going on and, more importantly, how I can turn it off?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Chas

Hiya, thanks for responding.

Yes, I do have it checked...I just unchecked it, purged the Bridge cache and, unfortunately, the phenomenon is still happening (rats, I was all excited...)

Personally, I really think that, despite my un-checking the "apply auto tone adjustment" box in the ACR prefs, that Bridge is acting as if that box is checked. Bummer, as it was being able to turn this off that made me think that I could abandon Aperture and move to a Bridge/Photoshop workflow (far more versatile, imho, when Bridge works as advertised).

Thanks anyways,

Charles

I agree. Go to Adobe's forums. Bridge shouldn't make any changes to your photos.
