Any recommendations? I'm not an artist or designer, but would like to use it for photo editing and the like. Nothing really major.
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

Sorry, no such thing as a "free lunch"... I don't know any that are free.

$25 per month (no commitment – month to month) is pretty cheap as it includes Lynda.com's entire and EXTENSIVE list of courses. You can demo a few lessons to see if you are interested. This a deal for what they provide.

Adobe does offer "Classrooms in a Book" but will cost about $30 (+ shipping, taxes, etc.) each.
Go to: Adobe Education: Photoshop CS2 Classroom in a Book

You may also check your local schools, community colleges or continuing education venues. You may find evening courses (beginner, intermediate, advanced) that run typically 4-6 weeks. They too will have some kind of cost.
