White ink for inkjet, does it exist?

My stepmom wants to print out some logos on iron-on paper from her inkjet. However, she wants the logo to be white on a red apron.
Does white ink even exist? I've seen some specialty printers that do it, but nothing like for a normal HP inkjet.

yep you are correct. There's no white ink for the common use printers. You can do that with other pro desktop publishing printers

There was a company that made a relatively cheap thermal ribbon printer. They had the usual CMYK, but you could also buy white, gloss, and even metallic ribbons like gold, silver, and copper.
From what I remember from the reviews, though, was that the ribbons would sometimes get caught and you'd have to buy a whole new ribbon cartridge. Made it really expensive.

You might be in luck.. I do iron transfers for small projects and found some that are made for transfers to dark materials (black tshirts for example). The transfer paper is white so you end up tossing colour on the white and when this gets transfered to your clothing article, you essentially end up with 'white ink' on your fabric. You can trim the transfer paper etc or, This stuff is found in the same places as you would find transfer iron-on products.. Use your imagination, you can do quite a lot with it..
Cheers!

There are a few different iron transfers out there, do you know what brand and kind it is? Is it something available at Staples or maybe a Pearl or other art supply store or something you have to order online?
