Hi there. Looking for a bit of help. I created a form in InDesign- saved it as a PDF and created interactive buttons for the survey.
Now, I want to insert a link or hyperlink or whatever to put over the area where I typed "click here to submit form" I want them to click on it and it will open their email program with my address already there so they can submit.
Ideally, I would rather it just submit it to my website, but I don't think that's possible.
Can anyone help with the email part at least?

hmm, seems simple... make the link on the button be "mailto:name@email.com" ? Or have I been doing too much html?

Andi's right. Make the button a web link and simply make the URL a mailto: address. I just tried it in Acrobat Pro 6 and it worked like a charm. Launched Mail with the receiving email address pre-populated. If you want the subject line pre-populated, simply write it like this:
mailto:someone@yoursite.com?subject=Mail from Our Site
I don't see any way to simply make it submit the form without launching a mail app. If that's what you want, you're going to have to re-build it as a dedicated web form.
And no guff about my being stuck on Acrobat 6. I choose to feed my kids, not Adobe.

That is so true. Software is waaaay to expensive to keep updating. I just got cs4 collection and this will be the last time my business gets an upgrade for a while.

In InDesign, right-click on the button, choose Interactive -> New Hyperlink. Should be pretty straightforward from there.
And remember to check the box in the PDF export window to include hyperlinks in the final PDF, of course.

Thanks all. Looks like I'm good to go. So simple, but just was coming to me quickly.
