I've received a Picture clipping.pictClipping file via an email attachment, which takes up 2.76 MB of memory. When I open it, there are over 100 "pages." I have copied 8 of these to my desktop and want to make them into a single file if possible and send them to colleagues in an attachment. The content is mostly text, with just two photos. I don't care if the photos can't be reproduced when sending; only the text is important.
Is it possible to covert these pages/files to some kind of text file and perhaps even join them together? Curiously, each page/file takes up over 2 MB of memory, even though the entire attachment they came in only takes up that amount of memory. I don't want to send all 8 files in separate emails as they are now and expect the receiver to open each one. Any advice, please?

What format are the resulting text pages in?
Have you tried opening the .pict file in Preview and just printing the pages you want to a PDF file?

The 8 files all have the name Picture clipping.pictClipping. Re Preview: yes, I tried it but all 8 files are greyed out, so I couldn't open them.

Have you tried simply changing the file extension from .pictClipping to .pdf and see if that helps? Maybe try opening it in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader? It sounds like you have a PDF that, somehow, got renamed or copied into the email as a clipping. I'm continuously amazed at how much difficulty some people have at attaching files to emails. I'm betting, instead of attaching the file, the sender did a copy/paste that resulted in a clipping being inserted.

I may not have explained my problem very well. Sorry. I can open the files just fine by clicking on them. Together they make up one article that I want to send to colleagues as an attachment. But as each file is around 2.8 MB and given people would have to open up each file separately to read just a portion, I'm wondering if there is any way to convert them into simple text and even possible join them all up to make one single file that I could send for the convenience of the recipients and not to overload their servers. Maybe that is impossible. I just wanted to sound you all out, just in case.
I changed the file extension on one file to PDF, but it is still a memory hog and not better than merely sending the pictClipping file as is.
I appreciate the responders who are taking time to come up with suggestions.

I went back to the sender. He was able to make a PDF file of the pages I wanted. So all is well.
Thanks, everyone.
