Hi,
I am a beginner in the field of image manipulation. So I hope someone here can help me or has some advice for me.

I'm trying to model a bird which I drew, so that it looks more like 3d

But when I played around with shadows, it just looks painted, without any depth.

Here are the two versions so you can see what I mean.

you need more feathering and less opacity.
