I had the Mac2TV function of my ATI XClaim 3D Plus card working a couple of times.
Now it just refuses to work, saying ""ATI Display cannot turn on Mac2TV. Perhaps there's no video device connected to the Mac2TV connector."
I tried the card in all three PCI slots with the same problem.
I've jiggled the video out connector...
It does work fine running my main monitor...
We've got OS 8.6 and used ATI Universal Installer 4.2 and the necessary components seem to be installed...

This is the kind of problem I would expect to have on a PC not a Mac...

Hi,
I had the same problem when I installed my Ati 128 3D card.
I bought it for the sole purpose to be able to watch DVD from
my G4.

If I remember right I think I solved the problem by disconnecting
my main screen (I have the in-built 128 pro card as well) and
forced the the right drivers to be loaded at start-up.

Yeah, I tried it without the monitor connected and still had no luck.

I just got an email from ATI this morning that mentioned that the card has to be able to detect a 75ohm signal from the TV in order to use Mac2TV. I think maybe it only checks right at startup time when the ATI Mac2TV app runs. If the TV isn't in video mode sending out the 75ohm signal at that time it appears that I won't be able to use it for that session.

I think that may have been my problem. I was setting the TV to video mode to late...
