Why doesn't the new QuickTime support this..........argggg!!

I want to watch SVCDs.

QuickTime 6 supports MPEG 2 playback within the QuickTime Player application.

yah, you just have to do a little more digging... They showed that about 5 months ago... you can download the stream from the Quicktime Apple site...

I know they showed that five months ago (at Streaming Media West i think). Then it was a 'work in progress.' Now it's a reality. we just have to get MPEGLA to relax its stance on the license agreement a bit...

I know you know, but perhaps shadybirdstan didn't... I'm with you, I can't wait to have native MPEG4 in QuickTime...

Come on MPEGLA, get it together. I hope they don't try to pull a Divx with this!! (I'm talking about the DVD vs. Divx fiasco)
