How long until we start seeing home audio /video products with firewire? Things like: TV's, receivers, DVD, CD, Equalizers.

If Apple is trying to be a digital hub, wouldn't it help if these devices had firewire?

Are there any audiophiles/videophiles out there that can give me some insight on what kind of impact firewire could have on systems? Is it even needed?

I know the advantage to firewire as opposed to usb/usb 2.0 is that firewire does not require a computer, meaning I could pull out my brand new Sony component system, plug in a few firewire cables and be done. Right?

Just looking for some predictions into the future.

Thanks.
