/D90 owner because the D40 felt too small.

More MP for cropping. ISO 400 stuff on the D40 is acceptable, too much above that and it loses its 'creamyness'. FPS, I like shooting surfers and the kids are doing more and more sporty stuff. 2.5fps isn't/wasn't enough. The size of the D40 is a disadvantage when using the flash (Metz 48 - like an SB-600). I can only get 2.5 fingers around the grip, so yes a bit too small for me.
I had seriously considered the D300S, but I couldn't see what the £500 difference would give me. Interval shooting is one thing that I'd like to try so I'll have to figure out how to do that with the D90.

Yeah its turned into quite an expensive year or so. I gave up smoking in Jan 2009, so I figure that I'm still spending the same money but its on something that please the grandparents instead of disgusting them.
Lets see :
D40 with kit lens
35mm f/1.8
Metz 48 flash
Sigma 10-20mm
Sigma 70-300mm (Piece of SH1TE, but it was only 120€)
Sigma 150-500mm (I love this beast)
SmugMug account
Memory cards
Bag
and now a D90 and a 16-85.
Thankfully my accountant (wife) appreciates the photos that I take.
