When I use QuickTime Player to listen to the radio chanenels in the QuickTime web page, the sounds skips once or twice in every minute. Is anyone else having this problem? Can someone recommend a fix?

I thank you all in advance for any comments.

do you have VM (virtual memory) turned on? if you do, that could cause the problem, also if you're doing other things that are using bandwidth, there ya go. i'd recommed buying memory to anyone, prices are getting very low.

This has nothing to do with QuickTime Player, although it may, but when I try to listen to GUITARadio.com, the sound drops out every 30 seconds. I'm using a Rev. B iMac with 96MB and using IE 4.5 to view the player with. I'm getting another 128MB tomorrow. Will more RAM help with this problem?

do you have VM on? are you using a dial-up (56k) connection? answer those questions. VM will decrease the performance of just about every and any streaming media, b/c the hd has to be access twice as much, for the media, and for the swap disk. as for internet media, the same thing holds, if your computer is using VM, then the media player is most likely using the hard drive as a buffer, so every 30 seconds or so it has to clear out the buffer, hence, run the hard drive, slowing stuff down, when using the MacOS, you cannot go wrong with more memory.
