I have a license, so this is completely legit. I need help. I lost my CS5 Design Standard discs, but I was emailed the license (student) by adobe, so I have that on hand. I also own the CS5 master suite, but I can't use the standard license with the master installer. I need to put this on two machines, so I'm kinda screwed (I guess honesty doesn't pay when you're dealing with adobe)

I called Adobe, and they said they can't help me find the discs or images, but that I was free to use them if I found a copy from someone else. (they suggested I just upgrade to 5.5...twice)

I posted in their forums (they insisted on it), but no dice. An adobe rep replied and once again, said I should upgrade.

Can anyone point me to the CS5 design standard disc images, or somewhere I can just get the discs cheap? I don't want to torrent them...I want something "clean".

Adobe's policies as of late are pretty weak. Not being able to upgrade to CS6 from CS4 or earlier, not giving me the installer for something they verified I have a license for (I know they're at 5.5, and I need 5...but either way, it's still v5...it's not like I'm asking for CS3).

Anyway...sorry to rant.

I'd help you out, but I don't own cs5 myself. That sucks though. Maybe someone can contact you via pm...

Man, I worded that horribly. Not enough sleep. Finals week. :¬P

Thanks Andi. Funny, how the average user who has nothing to gain by helping me is more willing than the people who took my $2000, and somehow expect me to give them more.

Adobe's users do a better job of supporting one another than the company does.

**edit: It worked! It's downloading now. I'll try and install it tonight. Thank you!!

I need the Design Standard, but it sounds like with these images, the design premium will let me install the standard apps. Fingers crossed!
