running quark 4.04, and upgraded to 4.11.
both versions have the same problem:
the font list no longer displays grouped fonts (with submenus); it used to!
tried trashing prefs, disabling extensions...
anyone know of a conflict? or better yet, a solution??
thanx!

quarkxpress has never done that for me, so i assume you were using some sort of control panel like adobe type reunion.

What operating system are you running? Did you recently upgrade your OS? Type Reunion should work regardless of whatever version of QuarkXPress you're running.
If you've upgraded past OS 8.5 you'll need the newest version of Type Reunion which can only be purchased with the newest version of ATM Deluxe. I'm also uncertain if Type Reunion will work through Classic in OSX, so you might try booting into OS 9.x when you're doing your Quark work. If you're already running the latest ATM Deluxe then I'd suggest re-installing it, or at least re-installing the ATR extension.
By default QuarkXPress will not show font sub-menus without a third party extension or utility (such as ATR).
Good luck;
Mike

It may be the type reunion preferences that need to be checked. Open it up and look at the settings. Old TR was automatic, new TR has settings and options, so it may have defaulted to not showing subgroups.

I believe there was also a bug with the older "free version" of ATR, Quark 4.11 and something to do with Quicktime if I recall correctly..the commercial version of ATR works fine for me in 9.2.2, and QXP 4.11
