Challenges 1 and 2 are still open.

I thought I'd change paces for this one. This challenge will involve photographs. So dust off your mad photoshop skillz, and let's get to it.

The point? To take a photo that you have laying around (or one you found off the internet) and to remove the heads from the image. This begs the question: What's so hard about that? Well, the background for one. You can't just pick an image with a pure black background and paint bucket over the whole thing. Pick something complicated. Something that requires you to recreate part of a tree, a person, a structure. Something fun (and challenging).

The image below is from a trip my friends and I took to Yosemite last year. I've already removed two heads. I'll remove more as this thread gets going.

Off With Their Heads
2 heads down. many to go.

click above for full image (110K)

(original image - for comparison)

Materials Used: Photoshop. mostly rubber stamp, smudge, airbrush, and my trusty wacom tablet.
Type of Piece: Photoshop tweak. I'll post updates as I remove more heads.

Not quite as good as l'ignorante's post but I decided to add a touch of humour to the situation:

I know it's a bit large to be posting direct in, but I really can't be bothered doing a thumbnail.

Here's something I did after a company picnic quite a while ago. Sort of works for this, since I had to fabricate the tree behind my boss's head so he could do his dance of joy...

Wow, game-set-match! (The blood was already on the racket, wasn't it?)
Thank you all for the nice comments! I have to admit it did take me longer then just the lunch-hour to make.

Just a small animated gif to keep me bussy. Noticed the animation doesn't always work, is it too many K to post?

I've made my image a bit more screen and modem friendly.
And iTomato, nice one, but the blood is a bit cartoony, I would like to see some hanging entrails in that!

I wasn't going to do the blood, but with the racket being so red already, I thought why not..
The arteries and blood are a little cartoony, especially on the head, but I think it works. I need to fix the head up a little.

Ok, so I went a little crazy with the blood, but who could resist with a challenge such as this...

-click for full-size animated version.

Trees are hard, BTW. I had most of it 'cloned' in behind the pumkin when I decided to blow the head up instead, and now blood covers the whole masking effect.

Love that tennis shot itomato!
