Here's what I want to do: I have my video camera set up on a tripod taking video of me jumping over a steeplechase barrier. I'm going to extract some of the frames of my jump and I wanted to superimpose multiple images on each other with the end result (jopefully) being a consistent background with myself appearing in 3 or 4 stages of my jump in the same picture. Could anyone assist me in how I would accomplish this in Photoshop after extracting the DV images from iMovie?

You can open each image in photoshop and cut / paste to one file.

This will put each image on a new layer.

Use the layer mask tool to blank out the unwanted part of each image (ie everything except the figure).

When you are happy with you image flatten the image or do a save as.

Or have 4 seperate layers, the back layer having 100% opacity, the 2nd last having 80%, and so forth - change the numbers around till it looks good.

But the layer mask option will likely look better.
