Hi people, I just had my week maybe month made of me this arvo. I won the Pearsons Education comp. I'm so stoked, cause now I get to pick up a new imac DV and a Adobe collection (6 apps). Now you gotta be happy with that. Here is a pic of my entry....

I don't want to glot to hard I just had to tell some people who would care/understand how cool it is.
I was almost wondering why I'm doing design? Now this has revitalised me. There is hope for all of us!!

Thanks for reading

Hey, nice work.
You should go to DB Digital Art and post it there.
It is a very cool graphics/design site and there are lots of people with whom you can share your work. There are a few contests there where you can submit it and win new prizes.

Mike they are pre-determined, dam it!!! And i got the numder wrong it's only 4, hay they're free apps *slaps self - you bit[h It is the Adobe 'design collection' this being Photoshop 6.1(sweet), Illustrator 9(nice), and Live Motion and Go Live both of which I haven't used. I would of like to have gottin Premiere 6 and AfterEffects 5, but I'm sure I will deal with it
Yeah so I'm kinda happy with myself at the moment

Peace

What you have there is Adobes Web Design Package. Illustrator and Photoshop are pretty universally used for just about any sort of speciality from Video to Web to Print and Publishing. Go Live and Live Motion are Adobe's web design/web publishing tools.

Actually I'm in Printing and Publishing (to paper) but web design is something I wouldn't mind learning myself. As an artist you can never specialize in "enough" things really. It just makes you a more valuable commodity. So if you weren't into web design before here's your'e "push" to learn it

A good Page Layout app would also be beneficial (Like Quark or InDesign). I still prefer Quark myself, but InDesign is pretty cool as-well. With all that I'd say you've got like everything you'd ever need.

Mike
