There's 2 folders on my machine, 1 in the Photoshop Samples folder, and one in the Image Ready Samples folder, called droplets, and they're full of .exe files. Sup with that?

Micro Applications/macros, call them what you will.

Drag a thousand 5MB images onto one labelled Constrain 350, Make JPG 30.exe and watch imageready resize and resave them all to 300 dpi 30% compression jpegs

They are called .exe because they are cross platform I guess and you can pass them around to your pc friends.
You can make your own using photoshop actions and 'create droplet' somewhere under the file menu (near to contact sheet)

Those sound potentially useful. I had done a search for.exe files, because I'm on a mailing list with a couple folks whod gotten a virus, and was curious if anything had gotten through to my hard drive. Was wondering why Photoshop would have installed a bunch of windows stuff, but it sounds like they act as scripts on a Mac. Thanks for the info, maybe I'll read the d@mn book, now.
