I have to agree with Matteo ... an all lower-case address is more appropriate. The name of the site is MacNN, while the address is macnn.com. I can come or go with the "www" part of it ... that I can leave up to you all.

As for the font choice ... I suppose I can leave that up to you all, too ... I think Garamond Narrow is only very slightly less readable, but more appropriate since it matches the MacNN brand. Having less fonts reduces the clutter of the shirt, as well.

Just my 18,900 Turkish lira ...

Robert

I read a couple of posts back that you could not have gradients in silkscreening, this is not true...

You can do halftone gradients and even stack them to do mock process colors, ask the silkscreening people what is the highest frequency for the halftones you can use. 40 to 70 ppi frequency is very common.

Make the silkscreening people happy and avoid anything that would require tight registration and difficult trapping (Such as 2 light colors butt-fitted)

screen printing...

butt to butt registration
no trapping
light colors on a dark shirt must have a "flash"

when dealing with 1/2 tones... when ever your color isn't 100% then the color showing through is the shirt or the flash

you can do full color designs but printing them takes a "translation"

this is called indexing or serperating (depending on the proccess) it can be extremly expensive

printing an indexed file of a complicated image could require 10-14 colors
indexed at real size around 210dpi

simulated process (using prossess inks and spots) can be much more complicated and can easily cost $1000 bucks to seperate

I suggest spot colors

very simple to print

if there are any spcific questions I might beable to answer them

(I apollogize if someone already said all this, I didn't read all there pages of posts)

a bevy of other issues have taken precedent over the t-shirt design.

we're still going to make a shirt, and we're currently still making a redesign of existing submissions, but it's going to take longer than previously expected. sorry.

indeed...oh wait, that includes me. anyhow, the mod forum got sidetracked by lots and lots of stuff. i'd say that i'm gonna bring it back to the top, but i'm trying to organize the Film Competition. so i'm gonna get some other mod to help me out so we can decide on a shirt.

sorry for the ongoing delay.

My favorite, but the MacNN logo should be off centered and lower on the front.
