hi.. I recently upgraded to PS 6 from 5.5.
I find the new color management settings quite annoying.
This new feature also prevents me from using the automate -> batch command smoothly becos of mismatches of working space profiles.
Is there a way to set photoshop to use the embedded profile of each image I open by default instead of having to select it every time?

Edit---> Color Settings --->Set "Color Management Policies" RGB: Convert to Working RGB CMYK: "Convert to Working CMYK" Grayscale: Convert to Working Gray"
then,
Profile mismatches and missing profiles, uncheck "Ask when opening"
hope this helps

tks 'zookie. it worked.
but some questions:
e.g: An original image was created on a Mac with profile A. If I use my Mac to open it this way, it'll automatically change it to profile B. When I return the image to Mac A, wouldn't the colors on the image be affected and different from the original copy?
If the above is true, how can I customise PS 6 to retain the original image's properties and yet not have be prompted with that color magement screen everytime?
sorry to have to ask so many questions.. not very clear about this whole deal..

That is correct, you could then end up with a profile mismatch on the other mac too.

Follow the steps at the link below, I think they should help.
