HELP.
I am doing a job for a client that requires a triangle shaped egg.
I could just use Photoshop to 'adapt' an egg photo into a triangle shape, but it would be far more flexable if I could do the thing from scratch in a 3D app. I have done a few things in CINEMA 4D and I am sort of proficiant, but this thing has me beat.
This is a plan and cross section of what I want to create (done in Illustrator).

I have atempted multiple ideas but nothing seams to work properly, e.g a beveled extrude's ether are too hard (I want the soft round sides) or are to rounded at the points.
Is there anyone on here who is good at 3d and can give me some advice?
I have been bashing at this all day and it is doing my head in.

This is a very easy thing to do. I would suggest checking out this site egg help phong style..
Look at the photoshop advanced tutorials on making 3D objects in photoshop actually check them all out their all great. The tutorials in theory should help you with your job...Good luck.

If you want to use cinema4d for the job use hyper nurbs.You are going to get all the rounded edges and youre egg will look really good.
