Just bought Illustrator, updated to 9.0.2 and it crashes giving me error type -1 and type -2 messages.

I've increased memory allocation, have virtual memory turned off and nothing fixes this.

Infuriating, needless to say.

I'm running this on a Pismo G3, 320 MB, Mac OS 9.1.

Your help, please.

I read a whole summary on The problems tons of people had with Illustrator 9.0 at http://www.macintouch.com/illustrator9.html

Most of the bugs were suppose to be out by the time the patchs came out but you are suffering from the early bugs that the patchs were suppose to fix.

One backwards thought and very last ditch effort would be uninstall illustrator install it again then pull down the 9.0.1 (yup the older one) from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/ilmac.htm and see if that makes a difference. Because I remember that the erro messages you were getting were fixed by the 9.0.1

Get Adobe update's there are on 9.0.2 it should iron out your problem...
