For such a specialized use. I wouldn't try and fake it. Buy a stock photo shot for $50 or so. You'll be happier with the results if you don't already have techniques to create such an effect.
If you are bent on doing this yourself. Scan an image of the background stone you want. Then, add your image of heiroglyphics or text on a new layer and work with the layering effects and layer blending modes to acheive a composite that looks believable.
CorelDraw8 or any other program of its caliber or Photoshop's isn't something that can simply be learned in a single lesson. Its more or a process of learning techniques and experimentation. Once you have a good grounding, there are *lots* of things you can learn from others who have 'learned' different methods of achieving effects. Before then, you'll only be following step-by-step instructions and likely not getting the best effect you can.
