Ladies and Gentleman. As you know ... the guys at Corel had months and months (one year?) to get stuff right and to show us that they mean business now that they own Bryce. So, what is our first introduction to their first (real) piece of work on Bryce? Well ... I'm not exactly sure ... I couldn't tell you because they put into place a faulty serial number registration process for upgrades that has a workaround requiring you to (get this) call the mother ship and get a "temporary" serial number so you can launch the app. Man-o-man. I'm sitting here 7pm at night, can't place such a call (since our Canadian friends are fast asleep as they were during the serial number initiation process coding) and i am wondering what other surprises are in store for this upgrade. Who are those people? Don't any of the mental giants working there think it's necessary to quality control or test basic stuff before the packages roll off unto the shelves of thousands and thousands of stores. What a fiasco. What's next? Software that doesn't function correctly? Patches, free updates to the max? They've lost a lot of credibility with me given this kind of shoddy and unattentive work. And they have the nerve to charge $149 ($50 over what Metacreations charged) for upgrades that render slower and slower everytime they add some new feature. Nice job!!!!! Speed up the rendering engine folks (instead of offering us network rendering to alleviate this problem) and while you are working on that get the serial number registration process right, yeah? WHO ARE THOSE PEOPLE??

erm....calm down.
I got Bryce 5 and it works just great.
Now I have a beautiful app running in aqua. I am pretty sure that the serial number fiasco will get sorted out pretty quickly, Corel have a lot a stake here, and I am sure they don't want to blow it.
Be happy

Bryce 1!
How old is that version? I started in 3D using Bryce 4 soon to be two years ago, but eventually moved on to another app. soon after that. Seen some amazing stuff made with bryce. What the biggest difference between version 1 and 4?
