Problems that I have:
Fonts... I need to use photoshop and illustrator so there's the issue of classic and OS X
what are the options? not many, have I missed somthing?
Colorsync... I have a TI 550 so I might be one of the few that dosen't like how my colorsync has worked... but my screen color is pretty off
Applications... really just one, where is Photoshop! I have to reboot in OS 9 to use it at full speed!
What would be helpful would be a website, book, or PDF avliable by either Apple or Adobe to help out withy these problems.
anyone seen somthing like this already?

Try suitcase 10 for mac os X. I've got it running in my 9.1 boot up and mac os X. I haven't used it in classic because I seem to never use it.

Suitcase will somewhat take care of your font X/Classic conundrum. It wont auto activate for adobe apps, but it will let you activate and deactivate for both classic and X.
LCD screens are bad for color, suck it up, get a CRT or experiment with prints by compensating until you get it right.
Rumor mill sez that PShop will be released in march, until then, either a) don't use X, or b) deal with restarting or c)only restart if you are doing mega super hard core photoshop work, otherwise for little stuff it works fine through classic.
hope this helps.

Illustrator 10 is OS X native (carbonized). There's little reason to continue the classic versions under OS X 10.1.x.

Actually there are, esp for, well, those little annoyances like shoddy printer drivers and, weirdnesses with screen refreshes in Ill 10. Oh, and lest I forget Flash's general screwups with pasting in Ill 10 paths into Flash 5. (though one could just work on an illustrator 8 file in Illustrator 10 but that kind of defeats the purpose of all those cool transparance capabilities, no?)

I am also having problems with fonts. I'm setting up a new G4 dual processor system running OS 10.1.2 and have installed Suitcase 10.1.1. Suitcase won't let me activate PostScript fonts that have the same names as fonts that are in System folders. I never had this problem using ATM on older systems -- like using Helvetica and Zapf Dingbats!
Adobe just came out with Illustrator 10 that works with OSX, but most of my work is in Quark and Photoshop, so I won't be able to do away with the Classic environment for awhile.
The Apple Knowledge Base has an article about managing fonts separately in Classic and OSX -- so now I'm really confused -- and worried that I won't be truly productive on this expensive new machine for several months.

I really feel your pain... I have suitcase too... but it's pretty lacking compared to ATM running in 9... and I have a Hevatica Folder that kicks the systems version but (number of options)... but I can't activate it....
Either Apple or Adobe needs to step up and address this problem...

Thanks...Adobe says on its website they have no plans to update ATM Deluxe to run on OSX and that PS drivers will have to be obtained from Apple, not Adobe!
