has anyone done it? I remember PhotoShop 5 being a heck of a lot easier to deal with brushes...

I'm looking for a tutorial about editing and adding brushes or some instructions...

is there and editing utility that I need or should I use illustrator? I'm pretty stumped...

• I need to change the angle of a brush
• I want to make a brush from a bitmap texture

how do I do it? Adobe's website sucks but I'll post this in there forum as well

Photoshop 6 is just as easy as 5 to edit a brush. Click on the brush icon that you wish to edit, change it in the drop down box, name it and then click on the add icon in the upper right corner.

I can't address the bit map texture item.

ok your wrong... or you can't give instructions

let try it:
• Click on the brush icon that you wish to edit

ok... no problem maybe I was wrong

• change it in the drop down box,

huh?, ok.. this is where your suggestion falls apart...
this is what I try:
-Double clicking the brush I want to change: selects that brush and the menu goes back up
-control click: drop down context menu that gives me three options... Rename or delete brush
-ok all other options I can think of don't work either...

Let try the arrow in the main drop down menu...

Hum... Not any selections but to save the current brushes and/or rename them

If I'm missing something then tell me I just what a better brush option

Click, don't double click, on the brush. Click once causes the edit box to stay in place.

the bitmap part is easy. open your bitmap, select it, goto EDIT : DEFINE BRUSH.
