Using Photoshop 5.5 (hadn't used it in a month) and now it's dead. The application initializes when I try to launch, but the app never loads. I re-installed the update to no avail. Do I need to delete the whole application, re-install 5.0 and re-install the update? What a pain in the arse.

Yep. Deleted all the Photoshop prefs that I know of, including the registration file. Didn't help.
