I have an Epson Perfection 1250u scanner. The scanned black and white photo looks black and white on my monitor, but when I print it with my HP 932c deskjet, the B&W print has a distinctive bluish-purple hue. How do I get prints from my inkjet printer that match what I see on the screen?

To get your printer to print a black and white scanned photo, you should scan the photo (if you scan in color, which will take longer and take more disk space) use Photoshop to convert it to greyscale.) Color space will be irrelevant at this point.

Next, in the printer driver, when you print the file, make sure you have grayscale selected.
