I'm still using illustrator 9, because I rely on KPT vector effects 1.5... (it a fantastic way to create volumetric objects and guides). there really is not any built in toolset (within illustrator or freehand) that can accomplish such superior effects...

and I would really like to transition fully into illustrator 10 but the KPT vector effects plug-in doesn't work... so since Corel now owns the KPT package, I'm wondering if it;s dead?

wondering if anybody else out there had a similar problem, if anybody knwe what the future plans were for KPT Vector Effects... or if anybody wanted to write their own...

No, I got a brochure in the mail a few days ago asking me to preorder KPT for $199, shipping early/mid February.
