With the mentioned config, I cannot get properly anti-aliased fonts in Illustrator X!!!

PLEASE, anyone tell me if he/she could get T1 font work with SuitX/IllX on OS X!

thanks

This a problem many people are having. I've heard you have to wipe your disk and reinstall X to get everything working again. The problem is, the problem may come back!

I hope Apple addresses this in the next release. Send feedback.

I can't believe it!
And they expect Designers to adopt Xapps on X?
What is exactly the cause of the problem?
is there a hidden file to remove to correct this?

I don't know. I've been struggling with this problem since last March! There was a long discussion about it on Apple's board and the upshot was you need to reinstall X. Someone tried it and three days later the problem came back. For anyone who has 10.1.2 upgraded from 10.1, a reinstall means you need to wipe your disk because of the security update. This is all so un-Mac-like it's driving me bonkers.

The workaround is convert the fonts you need most to TrueType. What a pain!

Just wanted to mention that Saturday I did do a wipe/reinstall and now the entire system works a lot better than it did. I got type-1 fonts to work perfectly from any accepted location and from Suitcase. many other hassles--like ftp and telnet not working and frequent carrier drops via PPP--were also fixed.

It's a huge pain to do this, but it has paid off.

Anyone knows where the problem lies exactly?

a hidden file to replace, or maybe a "light" re-install might do the trick?
