Please, if you can help me out I need it in a big way. I've been working on the computer all day. Photoshop stuff, website stuff then all of a sudden I open file to resize it and....

I CAN'T TYPE WHILE IN PHOTOSHOP!!!

Keyboard works fine in all other programs. I've restarted, dumped prefs, and even tried to reinstall photoshop but it wouldn't let me enter my name. I'm working in os 10.2, and was using Photoshop 5.5.

Any ideas?

Whoops,

I meant OS 10.1.2 or whatever the number is for the last update. And I did try a reinstall, but it wouldn't allow me to type in the registration box.

Any other ideas?

What version of OS 9 are you using for Classic? Have you been through your Classic extensions? Try relaunching Cassic with extensions off (I know other stuff won't work-- it's just a process of elimination thing) and see if you can type in Photoshop then.

Adobe has some online support forums, too. Check their website.

Cool it's fixed.

I used sherlock to find what files had been updated that afternoon and sure enough an extension for powerpoint keyboard caps was installed right about the time I was working. I disabled it and all is right again.

Strange thing is, I don't use powerpoint at all, and I haven't installed anything lately. Classic has been very buggy as of late. It always stalls when booting up. I usually open a classic app and that seems to force it to finish booting.

Weirdness abounds, but it is all worth it to stay in X

thanks for the help.

Let's see, PP is made by what company? The ONLY programs that give me problems of this nature (freezes, etc.) are made by them. I swear.
